Website Design and Development

While earning a graphic design degree in the mid 80's the idea of website design as a career didn't even exist. But as the times changed and technology evolved so did the scope of Dave Titus Illustrations. In 1994 while developing Netscapes first mascot, the green and purple Mozilla, a funny thing happened on the way to the studio. Everyone needed a website.

Initially it's all about illustrating icons and ad banners but soon a little knowlege about web graphics gets an illustrator/designer in deep water. There is no choice but to swim to the top and try to keep treading water. First you need to have a portfolio site to show off your work. Then when someone sees that they want a website and it snowball's from there.

Word of mouth is amazing! Without advertising Dave Titus Illustrations becomes the developer of The GRAMMY Foundations GRAMMY In The Schools first website. Network Appliance also retains the services of this one man operation, although, in the interent world virtual companies are the norm and resources develop that become vital to the advent of new sites. You can't really do it alone. Associates like Peter Mellish at Wag the Dog Productions and Andrew Wong, the lead on the Netscape/Mozilla project, lend a hand as well as many talented PHP, MYSQL, ASP and Actionscript programmers.

Dave Titus Illustrations compliments the illustration and animation work with new web site development regularly. Here are a few recent sites:

Mammoth Lakes Trails and Public Access
Millpond Equestrian Center
Steve Searles Offical site of The Bear Whisperer
Presson Construction Inc.
Convict Lake Resort and Convict Lake Restaurant
